Description
You should be replacing your chain regularly to ensure the continued good performance of your whole bicycle, and the TO-S82 chain wear indicator is the perfect item for establishing when a new chain is required. As you pedal over days and weeks and even months, your chain becomes stretched out incrementally over time. If it gets too stretched, the gears of your bike will begin to skip, creating a horrible jarring effect. You gears won’t change as seamlessly, and you even run the risk of it snapping entirely if left too long. This chain wear indicator is simple to use, put the curved end into a gap between your chain’s links and let the other end fall gently into contact with the chain. If it falls through a gap neatly without coming into contact with another of the links so the long part of the tool lies flat along the length of the chain, your chain is worn and could do with a swap.
