XLC supports the "green" Hrinkow Advarics Cycleang Team

The brand XLC becomes partner of the Austrian UCI Continental Team Hrinkow Advarics Cycleang this year and supports the team with environmentally friendly parts and accessories.

The team was founded in 2014 by Alexander and Dominik Hrinkow and participated in major races of the UCI Continental Tour for the first time in 2015. This year, ten riders under the sporting direction of Adam Homolka and Josef Benetseder will start the new season at the Tour de Taiwan at the beginning of March.

A special feature of this sponsorship is the idea of sustainability, which is very important to both the team and the parts brand. Hrinkow Advancris Cycleang - "clean cycling" is the top priority for the team in all areas of cycling.  Out of respect for the environment the riders want to keep their ecological footprint small. No rubbish ends up on the road: drinking containers, sports bars, gel packs etc. are disposed of by the support car or at the finish line. Low-consumption support vehicles are used, biodegradable drinking bottles and chain lubricants are used and even the team clothing is made of recyclable materials.

This philosophy immediately convinced the XLC brand to become a sponsoring partner. Because XLC also focuses on recyclable materials and short transport distances when listing new products in order to avoid CO² emissions. The team's bikes are equipped with XLC bottle holders, grips and handlebar straps, among other things. The riders can look forward to various XLC caps, shoes, bags etc. Particularly noteworthy are the XLC drinking bottles made of recyclable, bio-based plastic and textiles such as headbands and multifunctional scarves, Made in Europe, with short and therefore sustainable transport routes - in line with the team slogan "Cycleang - follow the green way".

The first race is approaching with big steps. Part of the team will be at the start of the Tour de Taiwan (UCI 2.1) from March 1st to compete in the first top-class tour of the 2020 season. XLC is looking forward to the cooperation and wishes the team good luck for the whole racing season.
