Made from a reliable aluminium body and cage and with a material axle made from steel (CroMo, CNC manufactured, sealed), the pedals weigh 392 g. The XLC PD-S17 has a bearing with a cassette axel and a 9/16 inch thread. The benefit of a clipless system like the PD-S17 system pedal is that more maximum power is afforded during short periods. As this pedal is double-sided, it does have adjustable release torque. This means that if you are struggling to click in or out of the pedal system, you can adjust the torque to stop the issue.
